oh, how very pinteresting.

in this age of social media and everything moving faster than a rolling stone-it really takes a lot to stand out. when i stumbled across pinterest earlier this year, my mind was totally blown. i truly believe nothing appeals to a fashion-craft-party planning obsessed wannabe blogger more than this. their elevator pitch: "Pinterest lets you organize and share all the beautiful things you find on the web. People use pinboards to plan their weddings, decorate their homes, and organize their favorite recipes. Best of all, you can browse pinboards created by other people. Browsing pinboards is a fun way to discover new things and get inspiration from people who share your interests." my version: "Hey, you know when you rip out pages of magazines and tape them to the wall? well, this is an online version of that where you can also see your friends' tastes and tips. it's also the best waste of time i've ever come across."
my good friend angie is an absolute pinterest nerd. it's a running joke in our family about what ridiculousness she pins. for example, one pin will be a recipe for chocolate cookie dough-brownie-oreo cakepops and the next a video on how to get "cowgirl" hamstrings. she also recently pinned a family photo inspiration that including a MINI HORSE. absurd, angie! not that mine are any better. check out my boards. a few of my favs: toddelers & tiaras, having a ryan gossling moment, the buddhist in me. you know, riveting stuff.
